The Bighorn River has been fishing alright. Most anglers are fishing with nymph rigs right now. Fishing your typical tailwater patterns like sowbugs/scuds in Orange and Pink, worms, crayfish, midges, and small Baetis imitations have been the best. Fish are starting to congregate with the cooler weather, so work the really fishy looking areas thoroughly before moving to the next spot. Streamer fishing has been slow but this could change with a little change in the weather this upcoming week. This is a good time to try and catch a larger brown trout, so don't count the Bighorn river out.
