Yellowstone River Report 8/8/2017

Aug, 08 2017

The Yellowstone has been having on and off days this past week.  Trico’s and PMDs make up the morning hatch, but they havent been thick by any means.  Some days the pink hopper has been woring and others it seems that they just are not looking up.  In the heat of the mid day nymphing has still been the most consistant option. Try a bugger as a lead fly and Prince or Pheasant Tail as a dropper.  The streamer fishing has been decent at best the past few mornings but I hear that the last hour of light has been decent for the streamer dudes.

Fins & Feathers is a full service fly-shop that offers many different guided fishing trip option on many of the local rivers including the Yellowstone
