Upper Madison Fishing Report 7/11/2018

Jul, 11 2018

The Upper Madison is a great choice right now. The flows have been steady and cold. Their are plenty of hatches and the fish are happy. Stoneflies are still important in the areas around $3 Bridge and Reynold's Pass. PMD's, Caddis, Green Drakes and Yellow Sallies are hatching from Hebgen Lake to Ennis Lake. The adult immitations can be productive any time of day but will probably be most important early and late in the day. Mid afternoon seems to be most productive with nymph or emerger stages of those same insects.

Fins & Feathers is a full-service Bozeman fly shop and Montana fly fishing outfitter. Upper Madison River fly fishing trips are available year-round with our Bozeman fly fishing guides.
