Upper Madison Fishing Report 5/9/2018

May, 09 2018

Reports from the Upper Madison continue to be possitive for the most part. The river below the West Fork is getting pretty dirty but above the West Fork still has a day or two left before the mud passes through Quake Lake. Caddis and BWO's seem to be the hatches of choice right now. Nymphs, emergers and adults for both can be important. Nymphing with dark colored Rubberlegs and  Buggers, as well as San Juan Worms and Eggs has been productive by most reports. When the dirty water goes through Quake, large black Rubberlegs and Buggers tight to the bank becomes the best choice other than fishing some of the areas fantastic lakes.
