Spring Creeks Fishing Report 5/24/2017

May, 24 2017

As the flows on the Yellowstone start to climb back into the unfishable range, the Paradise Valley Spring Creeks start looking better and better. If you are going to be in the area or just want to splurge on yourself, it will be hard to beat any of these Spring Creeks. Baetis, Caddis and Midges have all been available depending on the day and weather. Having all stages of the hatch is pretty important on the Creeks as the fish get a little pickier. If the hatches never develop or the fish just won't come up for them, be armed with some Beetles and Ants if you don't want to Nymph. Nymphing can certainly keep a person busy matching Nymphs and Pupas to their respective hatch. Expect to use lighter tippet to spookier fish than you would like.

The Livingson Area Spring Creeks have limited rod availability. Be sure to call and make a resevation before you make the drive. Nelson's-(406) 222-6560, Armstrong's-(406) 222-2979, DePuy's-(406) 222-0221
