We offer a variety of special rates in addition to our standard full and half-day guided fly fishing options in Bozeman, Montana. These special itineraries are designed for anglers with intermediate to advanced fly fishing skills that are looking to focus their vacation on fly fishing the waters of Southwest Montana.
The basic, full day guided float trip is for anglers that already have their own fly fishing gear and have previous fly fishing experience for trout. This price-point option does not include lunches, beverages or use of any fly fishing gear. The guide provides instructions, transportation to and from the river, flies, and terminal tackle (leader, tippet, floating, etc.) only If you do require lunches, drinks, and/or gear - you will want to book our standard full day trip which is all inclusive at $650 ad day per boat/guide.
Toby Swank is the outfitter for Fins and Feathers and continues to spend many days on the water after guiding around Montana for the last 20+ years. He has fished around the world, has been an ambassador for many brands, served on a variety of industry boards, works closely with local and national conservation groups, and has guided thousands of anglers over the years. Although availability is limited, Toby is also available for booking in 2022, he runs a unique program that caters to anglers with intermediate to advanced skill sets
Essentially, Toby has been doing this as about as long as anyone in the area and has picked up more that a few tricks to help avoid crowds and fish waters that see less pressure. In addition to the standard float trip waters, Toby also uses a motorized boat to occasionally fish area lakes when conditions are ideal. If mid-summer heat is making trout fishing tough, he turns his attention to sight fishing for carp in the Missouri River Headwaters area. When you fish with Toby for the day, you must be flexible and open to whatever he thinks will provide the best angling for the day.
