Bozeman is centrally located in the heart of the best wild trout waters in the western United States. Local rivers include the Yellowstone, Madison, Gallatin and Jefferson which combined give our guides access to 100’s of miles of quality water within an easy drive of our Bozeman fly shop. Our guides are on the water just about every day from early June through September and carefully choose the destination that is best for your day based on weather, water condtions, and time constraints. With so many options, we can always find something that will suit your group well for the day.

We recommend a float trip on one of the local rivers for full-day trips as these offer the best fly-fishing experience on a Montana river. Floating allows us to get away from the busy access points while exposing our guests to scenery, wildlife, and waters that can’t be accessed any other way. We get out and wade fish throughout the day when water and hatch conditions are favorable throughout the year as well. Full day wade trips on the larger rivers are generally not recommended most of the year, combining some wading with a float almost always makes for the perfect day.

Advanced reservations are recommended for our guided fly-fishing trips during the peak season of June-September. Last minute availability is difficult to find in July and August, so we recommend trying to plan at least a few weeks in advance. We try to accommodate last minute requests so feel free to reach out at any point during your vacation and we will make room whenever possible.

Reservations can be booked online, through e-mail, or over the phone at 406-586-2188.
