New to Fins & Feathers First Week of January

Jan, 06 2019

New 2019 product is starting to roll into Fins & Feathers. Among the first to arrive was the new Orvis Clearwater rod and also Simms fishing packs. Here is a breakdown of each pack and the new rod from our Bozeman fly shop.

2019 Orvis Clearwater

2019 Orvis Clearwater – The Clearwater underwent a complete design overhaul that is accompanied by a sleek new look. Going from the previous green to a now black chrome blank with white accents, has made the Clearwater much more appealing to the eye. The new flex profile is unique to each length and rod weight and is specifically designed for the type of fishing associated with that rod. These changes have resulted in incredibly accurate and powerful rods with plenty of feel for a great price. The trout verisons retail for $198 while the saltwater models come in juts slightly higher at $229. Currently available in 4, 5 and 6 weight at our Bozeman fly shop with more models arrving soon.

Freestone Ambidextrous Tactical Sling

Simms Freestone Ambidextrous Sling and Tactical Sling – These lightweight durable sling packs are designed to carry the necessities without overloading yourself. They are now ambidextrous, one of the first slings that can be carried either over your right or left shoulder. Magnetic docking stations for tool storage, coated webbing daisy chains, tippet spool holder, and an adjustable front panel for excess storage. Available in the tactical (15L) and normal (18L) sizes.

Freestone Hip Pack

Simms Freestone Fishing Hip Pack - This 12L durable hip pack is designed with a wide dual zipper top pocket with 4-way stretch fly box pockets. The freestone comes with an adjustable and removable shoulder strap and a pass through back panel sleeve for net carrying ease. Beyond all this it has a bottom water bottle holder and exterior magnetic tool docking station and includes a tippet caddy. Also available is the smaller Simms Freestone Tactical Hip Pack.
