How to Make a Dubbing Loop

When getting into fly tying one will find that there is roughly 100 different ways to tie the same fly or even to complete a single step. This is no different when it comes to applying dubbing to a fly. Many methods can be used to dub a fly but when you want to ensure that your dubbing remains tight to the hook shank, even after catching a few fish, a dubbing loop is the way to go. There are several methods one can use to create a dubbing loop but this method is quick and preferred by our Bozeman fly shop.
